Omagh District Council identified within their Local Economic Council Plan that increasing access to innovation and technology would increase the competitiveness of local business.  Omagh District Council have provided funding towards the establishment of a working Innovation Network where the small business sector can benefit from new technologies available.  The Council have provided support for the establishment of the Resource Centre, which will provide adequate support for hi-tech businesses with the technology and support that is vitally needed. Omagh District Council are an active member of the Omagh University Partnership.
