This project is a cross border initiative between Omagh Enterprise Company and Leitrim County Enterprise Board.  The aim of the project is to help businesses identify new work methods which will lead to an increase in efficiency. These new methods may include the introduction of innovative practices and technologies and provide you with the opportunity to improve the profitability of your business.

How does it work?

The INNOVATE programme provides a Innovation Officer to help SMEs identify aspects of your business that can be improved. The Innovation Officer will visit your business and discuss the areas of your business that you feel can be improved and developed. During these meetings, the Officer can also identify other areas of the business that could be improved through other functions of the INNOVATE programme.  These areas may include the introduction of a new process or technology, or the provision of specialised mentoring and/or training.

The INNOVATE programme will also present you with some of the latest practices in marketing, e-business and new technology. Business support will be provided from the Innovation Officer in addition to assistance from our strong mentor panel is also available to help you implement some of these best practices.

Other elements of the programme include:

  • The development of an Innovation Centre in Omagh and in Leitrim displaying some of the latest smart solutions for businesses
  • Innovation evenings on a range of topics such as internet marketing, e-business and e-commerce
  • Innovation Workshop covering topics such as - Embracing Creativity, Creating an Innovative Environment , Technology Transfer, Skills required for Creativity, Innovation in the competitive market, Intellectual Property, Research & Development, Patenting, Copyrights & Branding
