Business Start-Ups

Our Go For It Programme provides a wide range of training opportunities for all participants, and for businesses showing the greats potential to grow, one-to-one mentoring support.

Training and Workshops

Seminars cover all aspects of starting and running a successful business:

  • Employing staff
  • Operations and legal issues
  • ICT and Innovation
  • Selling and networking
  • Managing your finances
  • Taxation and Book Keeping

Engaging, practical and informative, these seminars provide valuale opportunites for networking and meeting highly qualified trainers with specialist knowledge.

Choose up to five, plus a complusory module on business planning. Training includes information on essential statutory issues such as tax and Health & Safety. Seminars are offered several times each year at Omagh Enterprise Company.

Business Clinics

Get personal, specialist assistance with specific business issues. Our Business Clinics are open to all, and consist of group discussions with experts on hand to help.

Female Entrepreneurs

Our new programme now offers all women who complete the Business Start-Up elements of Go For It and produce a basic business plans, subsidised membership of their local women's business network for one year. These networks currently have around 800 members across Northern Ireland made up of women who are thinking of setting up a business, have newly launched ventures, or established businesses, as well as members from the corporate sector.

One-to-One Mentoring

To qualify, a venture must have the potential of achieving VAT turnover in 12 months. Your mentors will be selected based on a combination of business, sector and mentoring experience, to provide the level and quality of expertise your venture demands. Some entrepreneurs may receive strategic guidance from several mentors.

All of our mentors are of the highest calibre, with many years experience in both the private and public sector business environments.
